Purpose: To recognize outstanding businesses & non-profit organizations in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and to raise money for the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce Business Resource Center.
Rules: 1) Best Overall Business For excellence in every aspect of your business. Explain how you excel with customers, employees, community contributions and marketing.
2) Best New Business For businesses that have opened within the past 3 years. Explain what your business is and give examples as to what makes it different than other similar businesses.
3) Best Small Business For businesses with up to 10 employees. Explain what your business has done in the past year that makes you a leader in your field.
4) Best Medium Business For businesses with over 10 employees and less than 100. Explain what your business has done in the past year that makes you a leader in your field.
5) Best Large Business For businesses with over 100 employees. Explain what your business has done in the past year that makes you a leader in your field.
6) Best Business Logo Explain how your logo delivers a message that creates confidence in your brand while differentiating between you and your competitors. Include a copy of your logo. Logos judged on creativity, business representation and design.
7) Best Business Website Explain how your website is a benefit to your company and why it is useful to your clients or customers. Websites are judged on content, appearance, and originality. Give your website address.
8) Best Business Card Design For excellence in business card designs that show creative thought and talent. Explain the reason for your design and why it is a good representation of your company. Include a copy of your business card.
9) Best Business Curb Side Appeal For excellence in the exterior of your building including upkeep of facility, use of plants and gardening, and overall appearance from the street in front of your building. Explain why your business has excellent curbside appeal. Submit pictures for review.
10) Best Business Marketing Campaign For excellence in a single marketing campaign strategy. Explain what you did, why you did it, and if you feel it was successful. Submit examples of ads, etc from the campaign.
11) Best Green Marketing Campaign For excellence in a single marketing campaign strategy revolving around energy efficiency or promoting green products. Explain what you did, why you did it, and if you feel it was successful. Submit examples of ads, etc from the campaign.
12) Best Interior Design For excellence in the design of a lobby, office, etc. Explain what you did, why you did it, and how you liked the results. Submit photographs representing your work.
Participation: Participation
in the Competition constitutes an agreement by each Entrant to comply
with the Chamber's Rules. All decisions of the Chamber regarding
any and all aspects of the Competition shall be final and binding
in all respects. The Chamber reserves the right to change and/or
waive the Rules at its sole discretion. The Chamber reserves the
right to cancel the Competition if it determines, in its sole discretion,
that fraud, technical failure and/or other errors have compromised
the integrity of the Competition.
Entrant to Indemnify Chamber: The
Entrant agrees to indemnify the Chamber for all damages, liabilities,
claims, costs, charges and expenses, including, without limitation,
reasonable attorneys fees that the Chamber may incur as a
result of any claims relating to Entrant's participation in the
Competition.
Limitations of Liability/Waiver: By
entering the competition, Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes,
claims, causes of action, judgments and awards against the Chamber
arising out of or connected with the Competition will be limited
to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred not to exceed the amount
of the Entry Fee; (2) Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim,
(i) punitive, incidental or consequential damages, (ii) any and
all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased, and
(iii) any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket
expenses not to exceed the amount of the Entry Fee.
